Raymond B. Long

Discussing Christian Counseling for Native Communities

“In these difficult times, it’s easy to lose perspective of who we are and what our purpose is on earth. If you are in Christ, you are His work and you belong to Him. He is faithful in spite of suffering and hardships.”

Raymond B. Long is a committed Christian, whose passion is to let his tribal people know God and His healing power for their spiritual, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Ray is a proud member of the Navajo Tribe. His maternal clan is Tsenijikini (Cliff Dweller) and his paternal clan is Hanooghaanii (One Who Walks Around).

Ray previously worked for the Navajo Nation Head Start (NNHS) as a Bus Driver, Family Service Liaison, Health Coordinator, and Child Development Adviser. Ray also served as a consultant for the Arizona Fatherhood Coalition. Ray attended Nazarene Bible College (NBC) in Colorado and graduated with two degrees in Pastoral Ministries and Christian Counseling. Ray is currently a Pastor at Round Cedar Church of the Nazarene with his family, and works in the area of family counseling.

Ray’s calling is to spread His Word and the Hope of Salvation to his native tribe. Moreover, he is looking ahead to God’s continued anointing and power for the mission He has laid out for himself.

Terry Wolf

Discussing the Important Impact of Family Life Education

“What is ‘Family’? We have many definitions, including nuclear families, extended families, blended families, dysfunctional families, broken families and let’s not forget - the

family of man. We have so many different

interpretations of

the word that I believe we have

lost sight of the Biblical perspective. It’s time to defend and rebuild the Family.”

Terry Wolf has long believed that our culture and government are eroding the meaning and importance of the most basic building block of any society – the traditional, biblical family. His desire is to restore our cultures conviction in, and adherence to, the long established concept of a a biblical marriage in which the husband and wife truly do love, honor and cherish each other and in which the children honor their parents.

Terry's personal journey has run the spectrum including working out of his garage making wooden ironing boards to owning and operating a pizza restaurant, as well as a 22 year stint in the United States Navy and various managerial positions for a large manufacturing company. In 2009, Terry once again changed careers and attended Arizona Christian University (then Southwestern College) graduating with a double degree in Behavioral Health and Biblical Studies. He then attended Fuller Theological Seminary and obtained a Master’s of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently serving in that capacity with Desert Edge Mentoring Services in Phoenix, AZ.

Terry’s desire is to reaffirm, in American society, the need and the benefits of obeying God’s commands in this vitally strategic area of human life. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Terry believes that he has the ability to spread God’s plan and help affect this change one person, one couple or one family at a time.
